Set up a WESECUU light bulb security camera

Install a WESECUU E27 bulb camera, screw it into a standard socket, and pair its 360° 2K PTZ view to the Truisee(wesecuu) app in a few minutes.

The WESECUU light bulb security camera screws into a standard E27 light socket and combines a camera with a power source, so there are no batteries to charge and no separate power adapter. It offers a 360° pan-tilt (PTZ) view, 2K resolution, color night vision, and two-way talk.

Choose a good socket

Because the bulb draws power from the socket, pick a location that fits your needs:

  • An outdoor porch, garage, or eave socket gives wide yard coverage.
  • An indoor ceiling or wall socket works for rooms, hallways, and entryways.
  • Make sure any wall switch controlling the socket stays ON, otherwise the camera loses power when the light is switched off.

Install the bulb

  1. Turn off the wall switch for safety.
  2. Screw the camera into the E27 socket like a normal bulb until snug.
  3. Turn the switch back on. The camera powers up and begins its startup.
  4. Wait for it to announce it is ready to connect, or show "search device."

Pair it in the app

  1. Open the Truisee(wesecuu) app and tap + to add a device.
  2. Scan the QR code on the bulb's packaging or body.
  3. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (these cameras do not support 5GHz) and enter the password.
  4. Show the app-generated QR code to the lens, or follow the Bluetooth-assisted prompt if your model uses it.
  5. Wait for the connection to complete, then name the camera.

The full pairing flow mirrors any other WESECUU camera — see pairing over Wi-Fi for extra detail and troubleshooting.

Test the key features

After setup, try these from the live view:

  • Pan and tilt by dragging on the screen to sweep the full 360°.
  • Switch on color night vision to confirm a clear, full-color image after dark.
  • Tap the microphone to test two-way talk.

Tips for bulb cameras

  • Position the socket high enough to see faces but low enough to avoid only filming rooftops.
  • If the live image is dim, clean the lens and check that night vision is enabled.
  • For continuous recording, add a microSD card or a cloud plan — see playback and storage.

If the bulb camera shows offline after install, the most common fix is confirming the socket has constant power and you are on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. See fixing an offline camera for more.
