Playback, microSD and cloud storage explained

Watching your camera live is always free in the Truisee(wesecuu) app. To go back and watch what happened earlier, your camera needs to be recording to storage. WESECUU cameras give you two ways to do that: a microSD card or a cloud plan.

microSD card storage

A microSD card records footage locally inside the camera. There is no monthly fee.

1. With the camera powered off, insert a microSD card into its card slot.
2. Power the camera back on.
3. In the app's camera Settings, format the card if prompted and confirm recording is enabled.
4. Choose continuous recording or event-only (records when motion is detected) to stretch the card further.

WESECUU cameras support microSD cards up to 128GB. A larger card holds more days of footage before it loops and overwrites the oldest clips.

Cloud storage

Cloud storage keeps recordings on remote servers, so footage survives even if the camera is stolen or damaged.

• Cloud plans are an optional paid subscription, purchased as an in-app purchase.
• Some plans add AI alerts, such as person detection, on top of recording.
• You can run cloud, a microSD card, or both together.

How to play back footage

1. Open the camera's live view in the app.
2. Tap Playback (or the timeline / calendar icon).
3. Pick the date you want to review.
4. Drag along the timeline to the moment you need. Recorded segments are highlighted.
5. Use the marked motion events to jump straight to activity instead of scrubbing the whole day.

If playback shows nothing

A blank timeline usually means nothing was recorded for that period. Check these:

1. The camera was powered on during the time you are reviewing — a camera that lost power records nothing.
2. Recording is enabled in settings, and a microSD card is inserted or a cloud plan is active.
3. The microSD card is not full or corrupted — reformat it from the app if clips look broken.
4. You picked the correct date, and the camera's time zone is set correctly.

Saving and sharing clips

While viewing playback, you can usually download a clip to your phone or capture a snapshot to share. For ongoing alerts that link to these recordings, set up motion detection. If playback is empty because the camera keeps dropping offline, see fixing an offline camera.
