Fix a camera that shows offline or won't connect

A practical checklist to bring a WESECUU camera back online in the Truisee(wesecuu) app — covering Wi-Fi band, power, signal strength and re-pairing.

When a WESECUU camera shows offline in the Truisee(wesecuu) app, it has lost its connection to your Wi-Fi or the internet. The good news is that the cause is almost always one of a handful of simple things. Work through this checklist in order and stop as soon as the camera comes back.

Quick checks first

  1. Is your internet working? Open a website on your phone over Wi-Fi. If your whole network is down, the camera cannot be online either.
  2. Is the camera getting power? Confirm the adapter is plugged in, or for a bulb camera, that the wall switch and socket have constant power.
  3. Power-cycle the camera. Unplug it, wait about ten seconds, and plug it back in. This single step resolves a large share of offline cases.

Confirm the Wi-Fi band

WESECUU cameras connect only to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, not 5GHz. If your router was changed, renamed, or recently rebooted, the camera may have lost the band it knew.

  1. Make sure your 2.4GHz network is still broadcasting under the same name and password.
  2. If you changed your Wi-Fi password or router, the camera must be re-paired with the new details.
  3. Keep the camera within good range — distance and thick walls weaken the signal.

Re-pair the camera

If power-cycling does not help, remove and add the camera again:

  1. In the app, delete the offline camera from your device list.
  2. Reset the camera to factory defaults (hold the reset button until it confirms).
  3. Add it again with the + button and follow the Wi-Fi pairing steps, making sure your phone is on 2.4GHz.

Improve a weak signal

If the camera connects but keeps dropping offline:

  • Move it closer to the router, or add a Wi-Fi extender / mesh node nearby.
  • Reduce interference from microwaves, baby monitors, and other 2.4GHz devices.
  • Avoid placing the camera behind metal, mirrors, or thick masonry.

Still offline

  • Reboot your router as well as the camera — sometimes the router is the problem.
  • Check whether your internet plan or router settings changed recently.
  • Confirm the camera's firmware is up to date in the app settings.

A camera that is offline cannot send motion alerts or record playback, so bringing it back online restores everything at once. If re-pairing repeatedly fails, double-check you are even using the right app for your model in our which app guide.
