Set up motion detection and push alerts

Turn on motion detection in the Truisee(wesecuu) app and make sure push notifications actually reach your phone when your WESECUU camera sees movement.

Motion detection is what turns a camera into a security tool — it watches for movement and pushes an alert to your phone so you do not have to keep checking the live view. Here is how to enable it in the Truisee(wesecuu) app and make sure the alerts arrive.

Turn on motion detection

  1. Open the app and tap your camera to open the live view.
  2. Open the camera's Settings (gear icon).
  3. Find Motion detection (sometimes called Alarm or Detection settings).
  4. Toggle it on.
  5. If available, set the sensitivity — higher catches smaller movements, lower reduces false alerts.
  6. Save your changes.

Make push alerts reach your phone

Detection only helps if the notification actually lands. Check these:

  1. Allow notifications for the app in your phone's system settings. On iPhone this is under Settings → Notifications; on Android under Apps → Truisee(wesecuu) → Notifications.
  2. Enable alarm push inside the app's notification or message settings.
  3. Turn off any Do Not Disturb or focus mode that might be silencing alerts.
  4. On Android, exclude the app from aggressive battery optimization so it is not stopped in the background.

Reduce false alarms

Cameras can over-trigger on harmless movement. To calm things down:

  • Lower the sensitivity a step at a time until alerts feel right.
  • Use detection zones (if your model supports them) to watch only a doorway or driveway and ignore a busy street.
  • Aim the camera away from moving trees, traffic, and reflective surfaces.
  • If your model offers AI person detection as part of a cloud plan, enable it so you are alerted to people rather than every shadow.

Make alerts useful

  • Keep a microSD card installed or a cloud plan active so each alert links to a recorded clip you can review. Without recording, an alert only tells you something moved, not what.
  • Set a schedule if you only want alerts at night or while you are out.

If alerts stop arriving

First confirm the camera is online — an offline camera cannot send alerts (see fixing an offline camera). Then re-check the notification permission and that Do Not Disturb is off. Toggling motion detection off and on again, then reopening the app, often restarts the push connection. To review what triggered an alert, head to playback and storage.
